Obituary of SMSgt. Lincoln Partin, USAF (Ret.)

SMSgt. Lincoln "Grandad" or "Dad Dad" Partin, USAF (Ret.), 88, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, 2024, 2:00PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Park Cemetery. The Reverend Jeremy Pass will officiate. A visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Tuesday Evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.


Lincoln, A Native American and descendant of the Cherokee tribe, was born September 26, 1935 in Pearl, Kentucky to the late Joe and Alma Partin. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force for twenty-one years. For the military, Lincoln worked in Military Avionics, specifically with the Hound Dog missiles and Strategic Air Command. After discharging from the military, Lincoln worked in the field of Industrial Maintenance and Aircraft Structural and Fabrication for Companies such as TRW, Lucas, and Boeing. He was a member of their respective unions, the NCO Club, Officers' Club, VFW, and Pilots' Club. Lincoln spent much of his free time watching The Weather Channel, American Pickers, and NCIS. He loved to spend hours at a time outdoors feeding and watching the birds as well as exercising his green thumb with his flower and vegetable gardens. Lincoln was a loving father, grandfather, and brother and everyone who knew him will miss him.


In addition to his parents, Lincoln 's wife of sixty-five years, Frances Lorene Pitts Partin; his sisters: Ada and Delci Partin; brother, Cilas Partin; son, Melvin K. Partin; son in law, Mark Nasworthy; and grandson, Mark Brandon Nasworthy precede him in death.


Lincoln is survived by his children: Beverly Nasworthy, Evelyn Partin, and Kevin (Dara) Partin; grandchildren: Lisa (Brock) Bowden, Kristy (Chris) Mosely, Jason Partin, Matthew Nasworthy, Aaron Michael Partin, Hunter J. (Kaitlyn) Price, Amellia Wang; several great grandchildren; and siblings: Kennley Partin, Glenna Parsons, Carol Powers, William Partin, Shirley Thacker, and Gary (Brenda) Partin.
